Self-love is a set of behaviors that require conscious engagement and moral alignment of the mind, body, soul, and spirit. When universal acceptance is the ultimate goal of one's existence, living according to higher morals in the form of self-love will lead to positive contributions.
I am working to find balance, for I feel pulled by two extremes:
- I create my own reality. The universe is me - I am my universe.
- I am insignificant in the continuation of the universe. I am so small.
- Karma sits in the middle.
I am working to insert my personal power where I have control and relinquish attachment where / when the universe has control. This understanding and application will help me to break karmic entrapments.
I mean what I say. I write what I mean. I don't necessarily write what I say but when I do, it has a fucking backbone. I suggest that you do the same.
Wherever there is darkness, there is light. Wherever there is fear, there is space to be fearless. Today I welcome the future that certainly holds both lightness and darkness. I relinquish control and fear into the fire on my continued pursuit of wholeness. May there always be a steady stream of love coming from within and coming from around, even in the presence of darkness.
It is quite possible that I could ponder over the words of David Whyte for the rest of my life.
I’ve never met anyone like you. I've never met someone who exists to travel, to understand the world, and to interact with its people for the sake of being. I like to think that I know exactly why you travel, what you seek, what you’ve learned (I don't). But the way I see you and the way I see you embody your purpose is why I'm so captivated by you.
The woman who sees herself in everything
and everything within her
will not be lost to herself
nor will she ever be lost to anything or anyone.
To act selflessly is to understand one’s place in the greater context of existence. Thus, doubt should not act as a hindrance to wisdom and to purification, but as a way to surrender attachment to outcome and walk steadily on a path of selfless action.
